GT vs MI Eliminator Toss Update, Playing 11, & Match Prediction

Check out the playing XI, toss result, pitch report, and match prediction for today’s GT vs MI IPL 2025 clash. Stay updated with key match insights and expert analysis.

After last night’s drama, all eyes now shift to the IPL Eliminator. RCB have already punched their ticket to the final, and PBKS await their opponent in Qualifier 2. That opponent will be either Gujarat Titans or Mumbai Indians—two sides who now find themselves on a do-or-die stage. There’s no safety net here. Whoever loses tonight is out of the tournament. It’s a high-stakes battle, but the build-up hasn’t been ideal for either team. Both MI and GT are coming off disappointing defeats. Mumbai fell short against Punjab Kings in Jaipur, while Gujarat were handed a heavy beating by bottom-placed CSK. Now, they’ve got one shot at redemption.

To make things trickier, both teams have suffered major setbacks with their overseas players departing for national duty. GT will be without Jos Buttler and Kagiso Rabada. MI, on the other hand, are missing Will Jacks, Ryan Rickelton, and Corbin Bosch. Losing such firepower at this stage is brutal—but that’s the reality both sides must face.

Still, neither team is short on quality. MI boast a formidable Indian core with the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Tilak Varma, and Rohit Sharma. GT aren’t far behind, with Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, and Sai Kishore holding things down. With so much talent on both sides and everything to play for, the Eliminator promises fireworks. The only question is: who’s going to seize the moment and keep their title hopes alive?

GT vs MI Match Prediction

It doesn't get more high-stakes than this—welcome to the IPL Eliminator, where it's win or go home. Tonight, two of the league’s heavyweights clash for the right to take on Punjab Kings in Qualifier 2. On one side, you have Mumbai Indians, the five-time champions. On the other, Gujarat Titans, a team that's made it to the playoffs in three of their four seasons, winning the title in 2022 and finishing runners-up in 2023. Simply put, both teams know what it takes to go deep in this tournament.

But while their resumes are impressive, they’re not exactly coming into this one on a high. Both MI and GT are licking their wounds from recent defeats. However, GT’s concerns run a little deeper. They’ve been overly reliant on their top three all season—and now, with Jos Buttler off on national duty, their batting looks wobbly and untested. And let’s be honest, if there’s one team with the firepower to exploit that weakness, it’s Mumbai. With a well-rounded bowling attack and big-match experience on their side, MI might just have the edge in this do-or-die encounter.
