Most Runs by an Uncapped Player in IPL History

In a league known for its stars, it’s often the uncapped Indian players who steal the spotlight. These players, without international experience, have consistently punched above their weight in the IPL. Some of them have become household names purely because of what they’ve done in this tournament. So, let’s take a look at the five uncapped Indian players with the most runs in IPL history.

1) Prabhsimran Singh – 1193 runs 

Prabhsimran tops the list and it’s not hard to see why. The Punjab Kings opener has been a force in IPL 2025, and his consistency over the past few seasons has pushed him ahead of others. With a fearless batting style and the ability to clear the ropes with ease, Prabhsimran has carved a niche for himself. What makes his journey more special is the fact that he’s done this without a single India cap to his name. Even though he represented India in the 2022 Asian Games, those matches aren’t considered official internationals — which still leaves him in the “uncapped” bracket. 

2) Manan Vohra – 1083 runs 

Manan Vohra might not be in the headlines as much anymore, but there was a time when the right-hander was one of the most exciting uncapped Indian players in the league. His fluent strokeplay and quick starts at the top of the order made him a key figure for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) and later, Rajasthan Royals. Though his appearances have become infrequent, he still holds a spot in this elite list thanks to the foundation he built early in his IPL career. 

3) Rahul Tewatia – 1080 runs 

Tewatia might be better known for his heroics in tight chases, but quietly, he’s built a solid record with the bat. Often coming in during the latter stages of an innings, he has played many match-winning cameos. As an uncapped Indian player, Tewatia has mastered the art of finishing games and has become one of the most dependable names in that role. It’s no surprise he’s just three runs behind Vohra. 

4) Ayush Badoni – 960 runs 

A rising star in the IPL, Ayush Badoni has made a big name for himself with Lucknow Super Giants. His calmness under pressure and ability to play all around the ground have made him one of the standout uncapped Indian players in recent years. He’s not too far away from breaking into the 1000-run club — and given the form he’s in, it’s only a matter of time. 

5) Manvinder Bisla – 798 runs 

Bisla will always be remembered for that match-winning knock in the IPL 2012 final for KKR. Though he didn’t go on to have a long IPL career, he had his moments. An aggressive opener who liked to take on the bowling early, Bisla’s IPL numbers still hold strong in the uncapped players list. His name might not be brought up often anymore, but his contributions — especially when the stakes were high — can’t be forgotten.
